IIM98 to feature engineering information management forum
The Institute for Information Management (IIM) has announced that a professional development opportunity for members of the Institute of Engineers (IE) is to be held in conjunction with the IIM98 Asia/Pacific Conference and Exhibition.
The special industry forum "Information Management Issues for Engineering Professionals" will be co-hosted by IIM and IE.
The event will present engineers with information management issues relevant to their profession.
A series of topics which focus on key information management issues facing engineers now and in the future will be featured. These include desktop software requirements and trends; and management systems for engineering professionals.
There will also be a panel discussion co-hosted by the IE and the IIM. IE members have also been invited to attend the free trade exhibition and technology solutions showcase, running in conjunction with the IIM98 conference.
The expo will enable IE members to view the latest products, technology advances and solutions either at their own leisure, or together in groups accompanied by an informed IIM executive.
IE members can also register for the full IIM98 conference program, which offers a diverse range of compelling knowledge and information management sessions, encompassing document management, workflow, imaging, and storage issues.
