Five new printers from QMS
With five new 20 page per minute models to choose from, the QMS 2060 family of printers offers a printing solution for multiple operating environments.
Designed for business workgroups and the imaging marketplace, using Windows 95 and NT applications, the QMS 2060 printers - the QMS 2060WX, QMS 2060BX, QMS 2060GX, QMS 2060EX, and the QMS 2060 ImageServer - offer network printing and large format, edge-to-edge printing capabilities up to 1200 dpi.
"As the reach of workgroups broadens, our customers have increasingly asked us to bring the strength of our expertise in image printing and document services into next generation desktop print systems," said QMS' managing director, Alasdair Watts. "With the QMS 2060, we have combined our advanced controller architecture with the newly designed print engine, to offer a broad range of users access to 1200 x 1200 dpi output, edge-to-edge printing and duplexing capabilities."
Based on QMS Crown multitasking controller architecture, the QMS 2060 ImageServer Print System provides image-enabled network printing for document imaging and client/server environments. It is able to decompress image files on the printer, generating output at or near rated engine speed.
The System can process most image file formats, including CALS raster format, PostScript Level 2/CCITT, and QMS CCITT Group 3 and Group 4 emulations.
