RazorSafe adds email compliance

March 9, 2009:Compliance and search capabilities have been updated in Mirapoint's new RazorSafe email archiving appliances, the first major upgrade since the Mirapoint acquisition of Intradyn in 2008.

RazorSafe 200, 400, and 6000 product line now offer enhanced integration with email clients including Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise on top of existing web access, and support for all major email servers, including Microsoft Exchange, Novell GroupWise, Lotus Domino, and Mirapoint Message Server.

Advanced legal hold and confidentiality notification capabilities enforce policies around data retention. Additional advanced search features and email tagging provide for optimized email management.

The RazorSafe 200, 400, and 6000 series archiving appliances provide additional price performance, with up to 7TB of disk capacity and 32GB of RAM and are designed to provide large enterprises the capacity to manage compliance/audit, e-discovery, and mail management while ensuring low Total Cost of Ownership. List pricing for the models starts at $US17,995.

A January 2009 study by Osterman Research, placed "email archiving" at the top of the list of technology areas expected to see increased IT spending throughout 2009.
