March 26, 2009:Tourism Australia has gone live with a Web Content Management solution from Open Text.

Two of its major websites: www.australia.com and , mediaaustralia.com, join the existing businessevents.australia.com website which has been managed through Open Text’s Web Solutions for the past three years.

“Just like destinations themselves, we need to continue to offer new and exciting reasons for people to keep visiting our websites. Australia.com, which is the primary call to action for our marketing initiatives globally, provides consumers with planning and motivational content to inspire them to travel to Australia. The site is available to people across the world 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in eight languages.

“In addition, our media.australia.com website services international media to ensure that news about Australia is available to journalists across the world 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Mr. Buckley.

Open Text Web Solutions, part of the Open Text ECM Suite, integrates, manages and optimises content, databases, file systems, and Web 2.0 applications. Content can be managed, translated and distributed across dozens of countries and sites globally.

In addition, Open Text will also enable Tourism Australia to further facilitate its plans for digital marketing, including enabling access to Tourism Australia’s interactive websites from mobile devices and delivering content securely to any target, channel, device or audience with context and personalisation.
