May 15, 2009:Enterprise-level monitoring and metrics has been added to Kofax workflow with a new application from the company that automatically recognises and reacts to capture exceptions on a real-time basis.
“Kofax Monitor adds considerable value to our capture products and solutions by reducing the amount of staff and resources required to manually administer and care for vital enterprise business operations,” said Jim Nicol, Executive Vice President of Products at Kofax.
Via a simple dashboard interface Kofax Monitor examines system components, assesses service viability and provides real-time access to operational information via Windows or standard mobile device browsers.
Troubleshooting is enhanced with “detect-and-notify” capabilities that immediately isolate a system error and alert assigned personnel about the problem, via email, pager, SMS, RSS, SNMP or other electronic formats as preferred.
Kofax Monitor also offers “detect-and-correct” functionality that automatically resolves common error conditions – such as a “hung” server – by rebooting or restarting a system, application or process.
