Nordic River delivers TextFlow Desktop

Swedish company Nordic River has launched a new tool for document review and collaborative
writing, TextFlow Desktop.

Building on its earlier TextFlow offering, TextFlow Desktop’s new features give users of Microsoft Word, and now Open Office, a way to collaborate and dynamically review documents with complete control over the work process.

Earlier TextFlow releases deleted images and tables before merging, creating the task of replacing them within the final document once all editing was completed. TextFlow Desktop displays the images and tables during editing, minimised to thumbnails while merging edits are made. It then restores the final document to the original layout, with updated content decided from team members’ input.

“As the market war over collaboration heats up, TextFlow Desktop joins in to empower Word users,” says Tomer Shalit, CEO, Nordic River.

“By freeing the user to focus on changes to the text while storing layout, images and tables, it gives the power to make and visualise changes in content without losing format work.

"This part of TextFlow’s ultimate vision enhances the way team members collaborate, granting the freedom of choosing their preferred communication channel - email, SharePoint or any other document portal.”

TextFlow offers Microsoft Word users a simple, yet dynamic way to gather and review text input from colleagues, partners and clients in order to make effective decisions on which contributions will go into the next version.

This professional text management tool provides business users with the means to compare and merge document versions, showing which changes have been made by whom, so users can decide which input to choose, refuse or archive for later use. With TextFlow, users can quickly and easily finalise each decision on content changes in order to produce a better, more cohesive final document.

TextFlow Desktop is available now for a one-time fee of $US99.00, with a 14-day free trial available.
