Symantec updates security suite
Symantec has announced a set of four new security products designed to deal with network and email threats, data loss prevention and IT management.
The products aim to address four key areas of weakness that can put organisations at risk: poorly enforced IT policies, poorly protected information, poorly managed systems and poorly protected infrastructure.
“Cybercriminals today have become more efficient, organised and profit focused. They are finding new and ingenious ways to access confidential data and intellectual property for financial gain”, said Brad Newton, Director, Enterprise Sales, Symantec Australia and New Zealand.
Control Compliance Suite 10.0 aims to deliver greater visibility into an organisation’s IT and compliance risks, while Data Loss Prevention Suite 10.5 addresses the prevention of data loss through social media and protecting information in private clouds.
Altiris IT Management Suite 7.0 adds IT management for projects such as the migration to Windows 7, while Symantec Protection Suites provide single sign-on and security management across endpoints, servers and gateways.
