ScanRobot 2.0 on the books for DME

Australia’s Digital Microfilm Equipment is targetting the market for book digitisation with a new offering from Germany’s TREVENTUS Mechatronics, the ScanRobot 2.0.

This automated book Scanning Mass Digitisation System (MDS) is designed for large volume digitisation of any bound material.

It promises distortion free images and gentle handling of sensitive materials. The company says it will handle anything published since the 14th century!

In automatic mode the ScanRobot 2.0 is capable of scanning at 2500 pages per hour.

Scanned images can be up to 400dpi resolution in a wide range of formats including jpg2000, tiff G4, png, pdf (incl. OCR layer) and XML.
