Bet you lose on Google Docs: Microsoft

A series of blog posts and YouTube videos have been unleashed by Microsoft in the war with Google for cloud-based office applications.

Microsoft is aiming to prevent Office users considering the Google apps platform by highlighting the risk that content will not transition properly.

In the first video (link above) a couple of gamblers wander into a casino and pass on blackjack and poker before one decides to have a stab at Google Docs at the urging of the croupier. Being a Microsoft video, the result is predictable, followed by a brief cameo from infamous US baseball star Pete Rose.

Rose, who was thrown out of the game for allegations he gambled on baseball games while playing for and managing the Cincinatti Reds, finishes off the spot by announcing Google Docs "is too big a gamble even for me."

The next spot (link above) stars Rob Schneider of Duece Bigalow fame as a stumbling bumbling baseball player who can't get with the team, the team of course, being Microsoft's Office suite.
