TCG Process has opened a free, hosted sandbox of its OCTO process orchestration platform. Organisations can build working document-driven process applications on their own documents, data and rules before deciding whether to buy.
Users can create end-to-end processes that combine document and media understanding, AI, business rules, system integrations, automated tasks and human decision-making. TCG Process says no programming or scripting is required.
"OCTO Sandbox is not a demo," the company states. Users build and run working process applications themselves.
"We believe the best way to understand OCTO is to use it," said Neil Walker, Global Head of Product at TCG Process. "OCTO Sandbox will give organisations the freedom to take a real process idea, build it and prove what the platform can do for themselves."
The sandbox is fully hosted and requires no local software installation. Organisations can start without a traditional infrastructure or implementation project.
Access is free for an extended evaluation period. This is intended to give organisations time to develop their own process applications and test them against real-world requirements.
Process applications built in the sandbox can be transferred to another OCTO environment if an organisation decides to continue with the platform.
Removing the evaluation barrier
Process automation platforms are often evaluated through vendor-led demonstrations or proof-of-concept projects that require infrastructure, integration work and professional services.
The sandbox model shifts that effort to the prospective customer, who can test a specific process idea directly. TCG Process says users can combine document and media understanding with AI, business rules and system integrations in a single application.
Human decision-making steps can be built into the same process. This allows organisations to test where automation should hand over to staff for review or approval.
TCG Process is headquartered in Baar, Switzerland. It focuses on operations where critical information is held in documents, emails and other unstructured content.
Its target sectors include banking, insurance, healthcare, public sector and business process outsourcing.
Through OCTO, the company says organisations can automate virtually any business process. It combines orchestration, intelligent document processing, AI and human interaction to turn fragmented information and disconnected tasks into consistent, compliant processes.
