Maximiser Takes On Sage CRM

Maximiser Takes On Sage CRM

November 9th, 2006: Maximiser Software has released a number of product enhancements and special offers to its Maximiser 9 CRM solution, claiming that it now has a superior alternative to Sage Software’s ACT!

A bold claim perhaps due to ACT!’s prominent position in the market, however, the company has outlined what it says are significant areas where Maximiser 9 trumps Sage. These include mobility, support for small business growth including pricing options, industry-specific versions, system functionality and speed.

Maximiser says its solution includes complete sales and contact management with tight Microsoft Office integration and reporting functionality from built in Business Objects Crystal Reports XI.

For mobility, Maximizer 9 now includes MaxMobile for the Windows Mobile platform for customer data access via devices such as the Palm Treo 700w, Dell Axim X51 series and the HP iPAQ. With this remote connectivity, users can interact with their Maximizer address book, calendar, hotlist, notes and user fields. Maximizer information can also be accessed on the Palm OS, Windows Mobile OS or Research In Motion (RIM) BlackBerry devices through two-way Outlook synchronisation.

When it comes to industry specifics, the company says that Maximizer 9 now offers templates for Real Estate, Financial Services, High Technology, Legal Services, Professional Sales, and Home Offices.

Maximizer 9 is also designed to work with low system requirement, with the minimum being a lowly 350 MHz processor and 256 MB of RAM. This is compared to ACT!’s minimum requirements of a 600 MHz processor and 512 MB of RAM.

Maximiser certainly isn’t shy about being a competitor, it even offers a conversion tool to enable businesses switching systems to convert their ACT! customer information to Maximiser 9 data.

“Small businesses have unique customer management needs as they compete with larger organisations by providing their customers with a better, more personalised customer experience,” says William Anderson, Executive Vice President, Technology, Maximizer Software. “They need a system that works with their existing software and equipment such as Microsoft Outlook and, in many cases, slightly older computers.”
