Oracle Delivers CRM Solution

July 12th, 2006: Oracle delivers St.George CRM solution on time and under budget.

Oracle Australia today announced St.George bank’s successful deployment of its PeopleSoft Enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Delivery was on time and AU $500,000 under Budget. The solution, which took seven months to implement and cost almost AU$15.9 million, is designed to provide St.Georges’ 8,400 staff greater visibility of the customer for more ‘personalised service’.

The decision to implement a CRM system was a business one rather than a technological one, according to Greg Booker, General Manager, St.George. “We spent the last four to five years laying the technology and cultural foundations needed to create a service-led sales model before deciding the business case was right to implement PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM”, says Booker, adding, “The success of the project was underpinned by senior-management buy-in from both Oracle and St.George”.

Having completed the technology implementation and deployment St.George says it will now focus its efforts in support of the front line staff and ensuring the business uplift is enabled. Future phases of the Oracle programme will incorporate the Asgard wealth environment and increased functionality into the application.
