Dell Signs Deal With SA Government

July 14th, 2006: Dell is to provide built-to-order Desktops for SA government agencies.

Under the terms of the contract Dell will provide South Australian government agencies with access to its Notebook and Desktop PCs. The deal will include public schools and government agencies. Minister for Infrastructure, Patrick Conlon, yesterday announced Dell had been successful in being appointed to the State’s new ‘across government computing panel’, which commences July 1, 2006 for an initial term of three years.

According to Joe Kremer, Dell’s Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, the company is pleased with the contract. “Our company is based on a simple concept, by selling computer systems directly to customers we can best understand their needs and efficiently provide the most effective solutions to meet them. We look forward to continuing to do this in South Australia”.

Dell will offer a range of built-to-order business computers, including the Latitude D520 and D410 notebooks and OptiPlex 210L and GX620 desktops.
