ScanSoft form three-way software alliance

Imaging, speech and language solutions provider ScanSoft has announced a partnership with systems integrator Dimension Data and speech recognition system developer Holly Australia to deliver speech solutions for carriers, call centres and enterprises.

The tie-in brings together three of the major players in the Australian speech industry, who will provide users with open, standards-based speech technologies, enabling businesses to enhance their CRM and gain faster ROI.

Peter Chidiac, Asia Pacific director, network speech solutions at ScanSoft, commented: "We are delighted to partner with Holly and DiData to bring these applications to market on the Holly Voice Gateway. By using state-of-the-art architecture and ScanSoft's speech technologies, Holly is well positioned to provide advanced, cost-effective deployment of speech solutions for organisations of any size."

Meanwhile, Robert Allman, national business manager, Dimension Data Australia, outlined what DiData brought to the table.

"Our goal as an IT services company is to provide solutions and services that enable businesses to build competitive advantage. When speech technologies are coupled with our integration, project management, design and networking skills, voice-driven applications can deliver true customer service benefits and operational efficiencies, both internally and externally for organisations."
