Microsoft bloods ICC for DNA
Internet Commerce Concepts (ICC) has become a Microsoft Commerce Preferred Partner and will use the software giant's architecture to build e-commerce systems and corporate portals.
ICC will specialise in using Microsoft's Site Server Commerce Edition and other components of the BackOffice platform as part of its support for the Distributed InterNet Architecture (DNA).
"We recognise that speed and cost-effectiveness are at the heart of every enterprise-level e-commerce strategy. We believe Microsoft's technologies can best deliver the fully scalable, open and component-based systems that we design and build for our customers," said Geoff Connolly, marketing director of ICC.
Microsoft's concept of the "digital dashboard", using its Outlook email client as a window into disparate enterprise data sources, has been likened to the relatively new idea of the corporate portal.
