Compaq moves into electronic archiving
Compaq Computer Australia has announced significant enhancements to Compaq Archive, its electronic document and archiving system.
Compaq Archive addresses the emerging market for electronically archiving the huge amounts of data generated by ERP systems such as SAP.
The newest version, Compaq Archive Version 5.0, now provides SAP R/3 users with Web-based administration, monitoring and remote support of stored documents and data. Archive also allows customisation, to achieve the lowest possible cost of ownership, permits system configuration changes without interruption, and offers high availability with built-in recovery.
Archiving features have been enhanced to include prioritised and parallel archiving, easy document migration, and improved security.
