Integrated document management
Integrated document management
The new FileNET Panagon IDM Desktop range of applications provides access to an organisation's documents across the enterprise.
Panagon IDM Desktop can be deployed on Microsoft Windows and Web client desktops and reduces deployment time for document-enabled line-of-business and general-access applications.
It is a suite of integrated document management components allowing users to access any document from any desktop and then put those documents to work using document-centric, graphical workflow processes.
Panagon allows users to access all documents stored in scalable enterprise document libraries from within a Microsoft Windows Explorer or Internet browser interface. It integrates with Microsoft Windows environments and applications, allowing users to manage and view more than 200 document formats including images, text, video and fax.
FileNet Panagon IDM Desktop can be deployed in thin client, Web browser environments providing users such as remote offices, business partners and vendors easy access to corporate document libraries and allowing them to participate in document-centric workflow processes. Additionally, Panagon IDM desktop can be implemented using the same component software architecture in a thick client/server environment.
The software's dual deployment capability enables organisations to develop applications that meet specific business needs and decide on the appropriate implementation scenario - Windows, Web browser or a mix of both client types - just before deployment.
Panagon enables large-scale global deployments supporting Microsoft's globalisation standards to speed up worldwide roll outs of new systems using the Internet or intranets and reduce training and support costs.
The Web version will be offered free of charge when purchased with Panagon IDM servers and the client/server versions will range from $400 to $1100 per user.
