US show pushes local KM tool

South Australian business solutions developer Maxamine International has started its push into the US market with its Web process, workflow and knowledge management software nominated as a finalist in the EnterpriseVision executive trade show in Arizona.

The event is Maxamine's first US appearance, although the company recently opened a San Francisco office to cater for growing demand in the US market.

The 'Best of EnterpriseVision Awards' recognise technological innovation from companies around the world. Maxamine shared its nomination honour with data storage and recovery solutions provider PowerQuest and ChangePoint, which develops Web-based automation solutions for managing the professional services supply chain.

Maxamine has gone to market with three solutions under the 'Analyst' banner. Process Analyst is a collaborative analysis tool to manage Internet, intranet and extranet sites. The Web Analyst toolset measures and reports on key metrics to help maintain smaller sites of up to 1000 pages.

Knowledge Analyst is an enterprise-wise search engine solution designed to allow users to quickly locate information in large sites.

The two-year-old company has already secured many blue chip clients in Australia in the government, defence, banking and finance, construction, education, advertising and pharmaceutical sectors, for customers such as the NRMA, Boral and Macquarie Bank.

Maxamine CEO Stephen Kirkby expected the nomination to bring interest from similar markets outside Australia. The company intends to build a US base that exceeds its local sales force within 12 months of opening, after recording a 400 per cent revenue jump in Australia last year.
