Mitsubishi Electric has released a new larger screen Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display (TFT-LCD) monitor, an 18.1 inch display targeted at graphics and design users.
The DV180 actually has a larger viewable area than traditional 19 inch Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) displays, is 217mm deep and weighs less than 10kg.
To maintain image sharpness and focus, the DV180 has a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels and 16.7 million display colours.
It has a brightness of 200 candelas per square metre (cd/m2), a contrast ratio of 200:1 and digital smoothing to provide full screen display of lower resolution graphics.
The monitor also features a USB hub that allows connection to four other peripheral devices.
The DV180 retails for $6299.
