April 30, 2009:Australian developer Scinaptic Communications has launched the latest version of OnePlaceMail product that improves integration between Outlook and SharePoint.
OnePlaceMail 2.8 provides the ability to drag & drop Outlook emails/attachments directly to SharePoint and also captures email metadata automatically.
Emails in Outlook are now automatically set with a category called ‘Transferred to SharePoint’ if the email is copied from Outlook to SharePoint. This category is configurable via the configuration update process and can be optionally disabled.
Email attributes are captured for attachments dragged and dropped from within an email in Outlook when uploaded to SharePoint.The seamless Outlook to SharePoint Integration provided by OnePlaceMail can be seen in action HERE.
