MailMarshal rides into the cloud

July 22, 2009:MailMarshal as a Service is a new hosted security solution from Marshal8e6 that allows for customised email security and content filtering settings.

Offered in partnership with Perth-based service provider YOURasp, the service will provide Anti-Spam, Anti-Virus, content filtering and Image analysis technology in Australia and New Zealand.

According to Jeremy Hulse, Vice President of Sales APAC, Marshal8e6, “Organisations require increasing levels of functionality and granularity but don’t necessarily have the time, resources or expertise to administer enterprise-level email security.MailMarshal as a Service is hosted in the cloud to give users access to email security just like any other utility such as electricity or water, but they have the ability to easily adjust the settings according to their needs and policies.”

“Our SMB customers in particular have been requesting a hosted email security service as they seek to reduce capital expenditure to maximise cash flow.”

According to Marshal8e6 TRACElabs, almost 91 percent of all global email is spam. MailMarshal as a Service with anti-spam pricing starts at $A2.50 per user per month for up to 200 users.
