Kofax updates Document Exchange Server

September 3, 2009:Kofax has unveiled a new release of its Document Exchange Server software, now rebranded as Kofax Front Office Server 2.7.

Kofax Front Office Server 2.7 allows forms and documents to be captured at their point of origin in front office environments via multi-function peripherals (MFPs), desktop scanners and fax machines.

With this release it offers tight integration with Kofax Capture and Transformation Modules, to improve the efficiency of document centric operations,while adding new collaboration capabilities such as scan-to-email and scan-to-fax.

"Kofax Front Office Server 2.7 utilizes the same enterprise level infrastructure as Kofax Capture and Transformation Modules, which allows us to better serve our existing customers as well as an even larger spectrum of the overall capture market," said Jim Nicol, Executive Vice President of Products at Kofax.
