Banking on SpeedVIEW Online

Speedscan has launched a new solution for Credit Unions and Mutual Societies who wish to offer their members the option to receive electronic statements.

SpeedVIEW Online is a hosted presentment and archive service that now includes a direct interface with Ultradata’s My Viewpoint Internet Banking.

Ultradata is an Australian developer of retail banking and funds management applications used by more than 220 organisations in the Asia Pacific financial services market.

The approved interface allows users of MyViewpoint to view statements without leaving the application, with no need to enter additional authentication. The SpeedVIEW solution complies with the new Mutual Banking Code of Practice.

Speedscan’s CEO Mark Josman says “the new version of SpeedVIEW Online means customers can now directly connect to their statements from within their Internet banking application. SpeedVIEW Online is offered as service using our world class hosting infrastructure to allow institutions to securely store and present statements with no internal technology footprint and minimal up-front costs. We will be offering the service both directly and through our strategic partners”.

Once statements are formatted by a mail house, Speedscan receives an electronic copy of each statement with associated metadata identifying the customer and account. These electronic copies are identical to the physical, printed statement, and are loaded into ourSpeedVIEW archive. At the option of the Credit Union, customers are then sent an email advising that their statement is online and directing them to go to their online banking site to access it.

Speedscan is presently looking to provide access to SpeedVIEW Online from other online banking applications, in addition to Ultradata.
