4DDynamics, a 3d scanner manufacturer, has introduced a new device it has dubbed a 3d “gadget”, the PicoScan.
This is a compact scanner that attaches a standard Canon DSLR camera to a compact Pico projector device.
When controlled by a scan engine it allows 3d data tocome 'alive' if hooked up to a laptop.
3DDynamics, the mother-company of 4DDynamics, is based in Belgium and has spent the last seven years developing high-end 3d scanners, from micro scanners to full body-scanners.
It is now devoted to bringing 3D scanning to a larger audience, giving every photography enthusiast the opportunity to experiment or work with 3d.
