CVISION Technologies is promising the fastest and most accurate OCR available with the launch of PdfCompressor 5.0, which can process 20+ pages per second. The new release also includes improvements in file compression quality, OCR recognition accuracy, and compression processing speed.

In addition to high-speed OCR, the OCR engine contains settings claimed to deliver the highest recognition rates possible. High accuracy recognition rates are achieved by leveraging advanced image processing techniques including: re-sampling, foreground/background separation, and auto-rotation.

New file compression technology reduces documents 10-100x smaller, while the product now generates PDF documents that can be inserted into, and searched from SharePoint.

PdfCompressor 5.0 also converts 14 file formats including TIFF, JPEG, and PDF to either PDF or PDF/A for long-term archiving.
