Email Systems Storms into Asia-Pacific
October 11, 2007: As part of its global operations rollout, Email Systems has unveiled a $2 million investment into the Asia Pacific region, including a network of fully redundant data centres across Australia and Hong Kong, as well as a base of operations in Sydney.
Email Systems is a provider of managed services (also known as Software as a Service or SaaS) for email management, protection, compliance and web filtering software. The network it's rolling out into the Asia Pacific region is originally focusing on Australia & Hong Kong, though further expansion into the Asia Pacific region is definitely a possibility for the email and web management company.
Included in the expansion is the appointment of Charles Heuneman as Managing Director of Email Systems Asia Pacific. Heunemann was previously the co-founder of SurfControl and before that served as a director of IT security distributor Lanvision.
IDC research has shown that the Asia Pacific enterprise ICT outsourcing and managing services market totaled $US 23.3 Billion in 2006 and is expected to grow to $US 36.2 billion by 2012. Email Systems hopes to capitalise on this expected growth by storming into the Asia-Pacific market as part of the $AU 2 million investment into the region.
“Asia Pacific is the fastest growing region in the world and a key territory for Email Systems, so we needed to ensure that we had the right team in place to maximise our investments. Charles is a terrifically experienced messaging professional with a great depth of industry knowledge and an intimate knowledge of the Asia Pacific Region. We look forward to positioning Email Systems as the leading technology solution for email and web services to businesses in the region” said Neil Hammerton, CEO of Email Systems Global Operations.
