SAP, HP team to help SMBs
Enterprise application software provider SAP and Hewlett Packard have announced new server hardware and software bundles for small and medium businesses (SMB).
Unveiled at the SAP SMB launch, the offerings enable SMBs to either purchase or lease a complete business management solution based on SAP Business One software and HP's targeted servers for the SMB market.
SAP Business One combines business accounting, CRM, workflow and integration with the mySAP Business Suite. The addition of a full-featured HP server completes the bundle for cost sensitive SMBs, offering them the option of a low cost purchase or lease.
"This partnership shows how serious we are about the SMB space," said Tim Cavill, SMB Director, SAP Australia and New Zealand. "By partnering with HP, a like minded company that is just as focused on the SMB market as we are, SAP is pre empting the specific business needs of SMBs, be it cash flow considerations or a one stop, no fuss IT solution."
For companies that prefer low, regular payments, HP Financial Services offers SMBs the option to lease a HP ML330 server, running a 5 user license of SAP Business One, for a flat rate of $138 per user per month (ex GST).
This option, which includes three years of 24x7, four hour onsite support, is a cost effective alternative to outright purchase that will be particularly appealing to smaller businesses wanting to keep ongoing costs as predictable as possible.
A fixed price of $19,734 (ex GST) gives SMBs a 5 user license of SAP Business One and a HP TC2120 server in a set configuration, and also includes three years of 24x7, four hour onsite support. One of HP's leading national resellers, Commander, will deliver and install the server at the customer premises.
"Small businesses are the driving force behind economic growth and stability, and we believe they should have the same high quality business infrastructure as larger businesses," said Graham Thomas, Medium Business Marketing Manager, Personal Systems Group, HP Australia.
"The bundling options announced with SAP give SMBs easy access to just such an infrastructure, with the choice of a fixed or variable cost that makes the purchasing decision easy to justify."
As SMBs encompass varying business sizes, SAP has engaged a variety of specialist partners capable of working with all relevant customers to implement the SAP Business One system so that it is appropriate for their particular industry and business. These partners include Applied Business Technology, Extend Technologies, Industry Data Systems, Intelligroup, Radio Beacon Australia, REALTECH, and Wireless IP.
