i2 seeks out batch scanning solution

September 25, 2009:i2 Software has added smart seek technology to its batch scanning solution, providing a fast and efficient way to locating text strings within single or multi page documents.

i2 is an Australian-developed solution that supports ISIS-compliant document scanners and provides the ability watch folders from multi-function devices.

Designed to provide a simple yet powerful way to scan in bulk documents, i2 Software now incorporates Smart Seek technology that automatically searches for strings of data anywhere within scanned documents.

During processing, in real time, the system seeks out instances of predefined text and zooms into the region for user input or data extraction. The documents being processed don't even need to be in an OCRd format.
