Social Security Appeals Tribunal Chooses Objective

November 27, 2007: In yet another trump card for the content management company, Objective has been chosen by the Social Security Appeals Tribunal (SSAT) the commonwealth agency in charge of welfare reviews.

Considering SSAT processes more then 10,000 appeals every year, the need for an enterprise level content management system was readily apparent. This monstrous appeal load is brought about through the Centrelink, child support and veterans affairs hearings and reviews the Tribunal presides over.

“With improvements in the discovery of existing information, our staff andmembers with authorised access will be able to access moreinformation to do with specific applications or appeals.” Said Dobe Temelkovski, Corporate Services Manager, SSAT.

Objective was selected after a competitive public tender process, which is a common theme for organisations going after lucrative government contracts. According to Temelkovski, the deal will also improve remote access for SSAT staff and members across the country that will be able to see previous decisions on similar cases and identify why certain decisions were made.

“This provides a valuable resource for them to use in making new decisions - whileeach case is individually reviewed on its merits, it will also assist withdecision making consistency.” Said Temelkovski.
