EntropySoft has announced a new Symantec Enterprise Vault connector with read/write capacities.

This connector will work with the existing contents of the Enterprise Vault repository or add new content coming from other content silos using a CMIS interface.

An application could include the archiving of additional content coming from different sources, especially enterprise application repositories.

The connector can also provide easier integration of applications working with Enterprise Vault content.

The EntropySoft Enterprise Vault connector works with the Enterprise Vault API. The connector is actually an independent library. The EntropySoft Enterprise Vault connector allows the creation of archives and items, retrieval of directory, sites, vaults, archives and items and deletions of items.

The Enterprise Vault connector will be CMIS-compliant as soon as the standard becomes available. and is designed to be easily integrated in third-party applications and is built with the same API as the 35 other EntropySoft connectors. It can also be used in conjunction with EntropySoft's two other ground-breaking products, content hub and Content ETL.

The Enterprise Vault connector, used in conjunction with Content ETL connected to other content repositories, offers a turnkey solution to move content between any content-centric application and Enterprise Vault. Large organizations are using Content ETL to automate their records creation. Content ETL can also be used for cloud repository synchronization, transfer of content for records management, as well as day-to-day content transfers and migrations.
