Nuxeo Launches Open Source ECM in the UK

April 27, 2007: Open source enterprise content management provider Nuxeo has kicked off operations in the UK, offering what it says is the first fully customisable open source ECM platform and support service to large energy and financial services companies.

The company will be pitching its award-winning Nuxeo 5 ECM package at industry heavyweights, espousing its virtues when it comes to document management, compliance, records management, business process management and indexing and search to name but a few features.

Overall Nuxeo says that its solution enables its customers to build and run a large range of traditional ECM applications from the server to the desktop, and has been built to handle high volumes of on line content traffic, synchronising on and off line content, e-mail management and more.

“The UK market is the first major step forward in taking Nuxeo onto the global stage,” says Nuxeo CEO Stéfane Fermigier. “We are offering something completely unique in the ECM market: a full-featured ECM platform based on modern Java EE standards, royalty free software, a transparent development model with an active community, combined with the accountability and professional support services that ensure enterprise-strength reliability.”
