Dicom and AXS-One meet compliance head on

Dicom Australia and AXS-One have entered into a new partnership to help business users of SAP fight against the increasing demands to meet compliance regulations and standards.

Dicom's Ascent solution will be able to capture all documents, paper and electronic, and deliver them to the AXSPoint application. The data will then be controlled by AXS-One's content management solution, which has a track record for allowing legal and compliance departments to be proactive in mitigating corporate risk.

Seamus McGuiness, managing director of Dicom Australia said. "The tight integration of our Ascent platform with the AXS-Link application enables users to access a comprehensive solution. As a result, our customers will meet today's demands of compliance, as well as enjoying the benefits of lower costs, faster & accurate data entry and better access to information."

The solution aims to focus on the high volume of accounts payable and proof of delivery documents which companies find difficult to manage as the paper work continues to increase at a rapid rate.

Ascent will provide the ability for key information to be extracted from each document, such as "Total", "ABN" and "GST", so that this can be entered into a mySAP Business Suite document.

The advantages of this means that template libraries do not have to be built or maintained.

The AXS-One system will be able to centralise information, so it is all stored in one area, allowing there to be one single point of access.

Emails, and various forms of content are categorised, providing efficient discovery and litigation support, knowledge management, and this also fosters a proactive decision process.

It also reduces the risk of critical documents being lost and penalties being imposed by regulatory and legal requirements. This is because documents can be monitored and archived easily.
