Support grows for ebXML

Tradegate ECA has announced it will support the Electronic Business XML (ebXML) initiative, designed to establish a global semantic and technical framework for the exchange of business data.

The peak body for electronic business in Australia has added its weight to the other global organisations backing ebXML, including IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Sun Microsystems and OMG.

Andrew Robertson, CEO of Tradegate ECA, said, "The ebXML initiative gives us our one opportunity to ensure that there is a synergy right across the range of electronic business implementations on the Internet."

HP sends out

The HP 9100C Digital Sender is a device that scans paper documents and sends them electronically to e-mail, network printers, PCs, Web sites, groupware systems or archives at the press of a button.

Paper copy is transformed into a colour or black and white digital file (PDIF, TIF or PCIL) and is designed to be as simple to use as an ATM. It tracks and provides logs of all communications, makes use of LAN infrastructure for free internal; communications and ensures secure delivery.

It is available now for approximately $6500.
