November 27 2008: Unified email security, archiving and data loss prevention specialist Proofpoint has announced the release of its latest archiving solution, which enables mobile workers to both archive and search email while on the go.

The company says that its Proofpoint Email Archiving solution now gives mobile employees the ability to search archives directly from Microsoft Outlook Web Access, simplifying the task of locating important email messages and attachments while away from the office.

As Proofpoint already features tight Outlook integration, the company says that no client-side software is needed. Furthermore, the company guarantees near real-time search results with the highest level of security with its DoubleBlind Encryption.

“Just recently, Forrester Research reported that mobile workers will make up 73 percent of the workforce by 2012,” said Andres Kohn, vice president of technology for Proofpoint. “Many of these employees will access corporate email while away from the office and companies must be prepared to manage archiving demands accordingly.

“When urgent issues arise, such as time-sensitive eDiscovery and regulatory compliance issues, employees will need instant access to email archives in order to meet those deadlines.”
