Ricoh Updates SMB Document Management Suite

January 14, 2009: Ricoh has announced new additions to its GlobalScan suite of document capture and routing solutions, saying it can help small to medium-sized businesses streamline document sharing and accelerate business processes.

The company says that its GlobalScan NX Office Edition and GlobalScan NX Serverless software help SMBs manage document workflows, giving them enterprise-level document management capabilities.

With the new additions SMBs can convert paper documents to electronic files and route them to various destinations email inboxes, fax numbers, or file them directly to network folders or archives from Ricoh's Aficio multifunction products (MFPs).

Ricoh says that this fosters streamlined communications and document sharing between branch offices, and in turn helps to reduce distribution costs and manual processes.

"The GlobalScan NX solutions make document capture and distribution easy-to-use while still offering the functionality and sophistication that small and medium-sized offices and workgroups need in order to operate efficiently," says Hede Nonaka, executive vice president, Ricoh Americas Corporation. "In doing so, the software aligns with Ricoh's goal to give customers Real Enhanced Value by addressing their unique business needs to improve operations, provide measurable results and ultimately save money."
